Now that the restrictionists blew the election for the Republicans, they're desperately trying to rally their remaining troops and keep up their morale using immigration scare tactics....
If the Dems could vote against HR 4437 and for S 2611 in an election year and still win the majority, whose going to care for this piece of S#*t?

Remember you are bonded labor if you are on H1B or Work Permit. They will use you & your illegal brothers every election year and this is one of those years ..... everything is chatter until something heppens.

I work in CA, my I140 is approved from NSC.
But the lawyer sent the 485 to TSC.
I just went over the I-485 form and it clearly says to send the I-485 employment based applications to NSC
Employment-based adjustment of status.
File all employment-based adjustment of statusapplications at the following address:
USCIS Nebraska Service CenterP.O. Box 87485Lincoln, NE 68501-7485
This includes an employment-based Form I-485filed concurrently with a Form I-140, ImmigrantPetition for Alien Worker, and an employment-based Form I-485 filed based on a pending or anapproved Form I-140. I am starting a new thread ONLY for people who e-filed I-765 to NSC .
I e-filed at NSC on 14 Apr 2010. Received the receipt on 04/16/10 and had last LUD on 04/20/10. Waiting for approval
Are there other folks who applied around the same time as me and still have not seen approvals.

I was in this situation few years back. I was on bench for 8 months (not paid). I chose not to reply to the DOL letter. I feared that accepting that I was on bench for 8 months will make you out of status.
Every time you go for H1 revalidation, you will be asked were you out of status any time.
Later I have done 3 H1 revalidations (Canada), no problems. If sending reply is not mandatory then keep quiet. Six months later my employer filed for bankruptcy.
Not getting paid on bench for >180 days has serious consequences during the adjudication of I-485. Read the following thread

Is not it strange that IRS processed the tax refund before completing the ITIN processing? They could not confirm the current status of my wife's ITIN processing, as they could not pull out any details about the W-7 based on the information provided by me. They only guessed that it might be still undergoing processing. I wonder if they misplaced the W-7 form or something like that :-(.

Dude, are you serious? You will, only possibly, be laid off in April next year. Means you have got 4 months to find yourself a new job. You already are in I-485 stage, so you don't need any immediate visa to maintain status. And you are telling me you are distressed?
Grow up. I know many guys who are already sitting without job and valid status for 6 months, and even more. I mean, I can't believe you are serious.

Also one strange thing observed was that I have a receipt # SRC07264**** and my wife's case has a receipt # SRC07266****. Also we received the receipt notices 2 days apart.

@sameer2730 : So when you made the mistake "Country Of Citizenship" on your EAD eFile, how did you get that corrected? Did you send in a "Request For Correction" along with your supporting documentation to USCIS? Did they send you an RFE or did they accept your docs and approved your EAD?

How did you come up with $745? I-485 application fees were $325 + $70 fee for biometrics. That makes it $395 per application or $790 for two applications. Maybe your lawyer gave you incorrect advice about the fees??

What is disappionting is that this was what was proposed as "significant" and "much more than expected" due to EB1 spillover. which leads me to think how exactly do we interpret such statements in the future??. Clearly the agency was measuring timeline in hours or days whereas all our forums and blogs measured it in months or years!!!
Movement to Mid-2007 or post july 2007 has to wait for a long time.
Not sure...since we are all talking about 12K and only 2 months movement. Are they cautious or we are all missing something?

I graduated with a Master's (MBA) from US in Dec. 06, have H1B approved from Oct. 1st 2007, through Comp. A (consultant). However, I have never worked with Comp. A, as they couldn't secure a project for me. Now, Comp. B has come forward to possibly hire me (non-consultant). How do I get my H1B transferred without the pay stubs, considering that Comp. B is a non-consulting company, and would need a very smooth transfer?
it depends on USCIS officer. i had a good lawer when I applied for h1b transfer. i got stuck for one 15 days paycheck. eventually it is cleared after submitting the paper work. having good lawer is not enough. depends on your luck or USCIS officer also :)

Guys,
1) For 7 th yr extension your LC and I 140 have to be approved if your LC
is less than 365 days old at the end of 6 th year.
2) If your LC is more than 365 days at the end of 6 yrs it does not matter if it is approved or not you are still eligible for 7 th year extension.

well i got marriage church, but we didn't got are license yet, because my husband have some problem in court.( he is a citzen) We'll know if he will go to jail or not in march 31.

You may be lucky You can have a GC without I-140 approval. True. Your GC status is subject to I-140 Approval
You may be unlucky, USCIS might have returned your application or there is some RFE etc.
